The Weekend of 22nd / 23rd of August saw 49 intrepid aviators flying from Worthing Pier in an attempt to be crowned Birdman champion 2009. Steve Elkins in the Condor class came within cm's of the £30,000 jackpot with a flight of 99.86cm. The Gadget Show with their specially designed craft flew the furthest in the Leonardo class with a flight of 30.7m and Laurel and Hardy won the hearts of the crowds and were crowned Kingfisher champions. Worthing Ice Rink to Return in 2011.
Following the continued success of the Ice Rink it has been booked to return from 5th February to 6th March 2011.
Worthing International Birdman Competition

Open Meeting 10th March 2010
