
There are two areas in Worthing Town Centre available for events or business promotions within the Town Centre. These areas are also the town’s event spaces and availability can be limited especially at weekends.
Montague Place is situated in the heart of Montague Street by the Rotunda and South Street Square is a large area at the junction of Warwick Street and South Street. If you would like to find out about booking a promotional activity or work with us on any of our planned events please call us on 01903 203 252. If you wish to book an event area please call to check availability then complete our events form, if your event involves a stage, the use of power, a gazebo or other structure you will be required to complete a risk assessment as well. Covered Areas
The Montague Centre and Guildbourne Centre are the two covered shopping areas in the Town Centre. These areas are privately owned and you must contact the Centre Management Team to discuss your requirements. Please note these areas are not licensed for musical performances and so a Temporary Event Notice may be needed; to find out more please contact the Licensing Department at Worthing Borough Council on 01903 221068.

Licenses
Booking these areas does not permit the event / activity holders to sell products or collect money without the required permissions from the Worthing Borough Council Licensing Department, who can be contacted on 01903 221068. Any license issued permitting such sales or collections must be available for inspection whilst on site
Other Areas
Enquiries regarding the use of the Seafront, Promenade, Pier or Steyne Gardens should be directed to the Leisure Services department at Worthing Borough Council on 01903 221067.
The Town Centre Initiative manages leafleting in the Town Centre to ensure that everyone has a chance to leaflet and to control the number of people leafleting at any one time, We do this to ensure that the public are not bombarded with leaflets on their travels which leads to them not taking or reading any. The Farmers market is held the 4th Saturday of the month in South Street Square and is managed by David Steadman to enquire about stall availability and prices please call 01273 263 152.
Indoor Markets are run by Worthing Theatres to enquire about the availbility of stalls and prices or dates of these markets please call Worthing Theatres on 01903 231799 or email theatres@worthing.gov.uk
Buskers should move location approximately every half hour and or take breaks so the music is not continuous.
We reserve the right to ask any busker to move on if noise complaints are received; and buskers should ensure they do not interfere with any organised events or activities. No sales of pre-recorded music on CD or tape can take place without the prior permission from the licensing team at Worthing Borough Council 01903 221068.
